(February 2019 – July 2019)
Completed my PADI Divemaster qualification alongside a social media internship on Gili Trawangan.
Digital Marketing Intern at Paradise Interns
(January 2019 – July 2019)
During my six month internship with Paradise Interns, I completed a month long digital marketing bootcamp in Bali, followed by 5 months of onsite experience working for a dive shop on Gili Trawangan which I completed alongside my divemaster. The training covered blog copywriting, SEO, content creation, management of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn and branding.
Biomedical Support Worker at University Hospital Southampton (NHS)
(September 2017 – December 2018)
Used my degree in Biomedical Sciences to undertake this role supporting the Molecular Pathology laboratory. My role involved sample transit, DNA and RNA extraction of bloods, bone marrows and tissues, daily admin and cleaning, equipment maintenance and data entry.
Officer Cadet at University Officers Training Corps (UOTC)
(September 2014 – July 2017)
As part of the British Army Reserves, the University Officer Training Corps taught leadership, management, hard work and teamwork. By the end of my time at UOTC, I had risen to the main management role in my detachment and passed the Army Officer Selection Board (AOSB) to attend the Royal Military Academy of Sandhurst (RMAS). Unfortunately, just weeks into my training I severely injured my knee which has halted my military training indefinitely.
